Take part in a research study about online voting experiences
The City of Burlington is one of several municipalities participating in a Brock University voting study during the 2026 municipal election.
If you vote online in Burlington’s election, you will be prompted at the end of the voting process to complete an anonymous online survey about your online voting experience and perceptions. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and separate from the voting process. The option to complete the survey will appear after you have submitted your ballot online.
How survey data be used
Feedback gathered through the survey will be used to inform Brock University’s 2026 Internet Voting Study. The study will help inform the public and policy makers about online voter experiences and perceptions.
The research study is led by Dr. Nicole Goodman, a political science professor at Brock University. For more information on Dr. Goodman’s area of study, please visit the Brock University website.
