Who am I voting for?

When you vote, you choose who you want to be your:

  • Mayor (1)
  • City Councillor(s) (6)
  • Regional Chair for Halton Region (1)
  • School Board Trustee(s)

The four school boards for which you will elect trustees depending on your school support are:

  • Halton District Public School Board
  • Halton Catholic District School Board
  • Conseil scolaire Viamonde
  • Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir 

The Mayor and City Councillors also represent you on Halton Regional Council.

Am I eligible to vote?

You must be:

  • a Canadian citizen
  • at least 18 years old
  • live in Burlington (own or rent), or
  • don’t live in Burlington, but you or your spouse own or rent property in Burlington.
